Description
A year into our journey as a newly merged organisation, Hedyn brings together two ambitious housing providers into a unified, values‑led Group and one of the largest Registered Social Landlords in Wales. Everything we do is driven by our commitment to residents and communities — ensuring we provide safe homes, great services and an inclusive, purposeful place to work.
With strong foundations in place, we are now focused on deepening integration, strengthening delivery and ensuring we meet the highest standards of building safety, compliance and asset performance. As part of this next phase, we are seeking a Director of Assets & Compliance to join our senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping how we invest in and manage our homes for the long term.
Reporting to the Group Executive Director of Operations, this is a key strategic leadership role with corporate responsibility for asset management, building safety and compliance across a portfolio of c.15,000 homes. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring day‑to‑day operational excellence sits alongside long‑term, data‑driven investment decisions.
We are looking for an experienced and values‑driven leader with strong technical and strategic expertise, and the ability to lead through others in a complex, regulated environment. It is likely that you will come from social housing or a related sector and you will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of building safety and compliance frameworks, and experience of long‑term asset planning. A collaborative leadership style and a focus on delivering safe, high‑quality homes for residents will be key.
We want Hedyn to be a place where colleagues can thrive, and we are committed to increasing diversity of thought and experience across our leadership. If you require any adjustments during the recruitment process, please do get in touch to discuss how we can best support you.
